In lesson #1 in term 3 week 1 (30/6/09) , we were given a set of notes. It is about the materials that we are going to use doing Literature lessons. There are study guides to guide us in Literature lessons and to understand more about the lessons that our teacher had taught. In this booklet, there are glossary of common Literature terms that can help us if we do not know the meaning of difficult words. There were also unseen passages that we are going to learn and I can't wait to know more about it. After receiving the notes, Mr Chua gave out our Literature Mid-Year Examination Paper. I was really disappointed to see it. During the holidays, I said to myself to like Literature so that I can achieve good results in End-Of-Year exam. However, I will make sure that it will not stop me to achieve better results this term. We were also given four sheets of unseen essay evaluation and a sheet of learning log evaluation. It is for me to refer while doing my learning logs.
In lesson #2 (1/7/09) , when Mr Chua first step in into the class, he asked us to bring our pencil box and Literature file. We were then separated into four groups. I was in group Charlie. Then, we were divided into two groups. It took around five minutes to separate us. Then, we discussed about our roles that we want to take as our character. As we took Romeo and Juliet as our storyline, I chose Tybalt as my character. This character had lesser lines to remember but yet difficult role to play. Lastly, before our Literature Week 1 lesson ends, we were given a sheet of paper to roughly think about the costumes that we are going to wear during our performance. We have to think about the head, body, back, feet, accessories and sketch of Tybalt in his costumes that I had planned. That is all for now. I will be looking forward to Mr Chua's Literature lessons next week.
